My name is Hana and I’m grateful you’re here!
I’m owner and creator of Lali and Joli and a crochet toys designer.
Behind the website name are real people, my beloved grandparents, grandpa Ludovit called Lali and my grandma Jolan (Joli). Grandma was a seamstress and I believe this is what has influenced my whole life.
Long story short: How I may say I am a crafter? At Art school my major was Toys and Decorative Objects Creating. Then I went to college and majored in Industrial Design. I didn’t finish school because my beloved daughter was born. But the passion remained.
…. and all those years I was creating something – sewing, crocheting, knitting.

Becoming a crochet toys designer

As I mentioned, I studied at the School of Applied Arts in the field of Creation of Toys and Decorative Objects, where I worked on designing and creating toys and learned child psychology with a focus on play and fairy tales in the early life of a child. The program also included courses in material science and ergonomics to ensure that the toys we created were safe and comfortable for children of all ages.

But it isn’t just about creating toys that would fly off the shelves – it is about creating meaningful and educational experiences for children. That’s why I often incorporated elements of storytelling and interesting pieces into my designs.
By engaging children’s imagination and critical thinking skills through play, I believe that my toys could make a positive impact on their development.
